Mark’s Isle of Dawn, 24 miles per hex
Although Mark set aside his projects in late 2006, he had one more set of maps to share first: the Isle of Dawn.
This is his take of the Isle at 24 miles per hex, to fit on the eastern edge of his Known World map. He didn’t stop here, though, as he also released a full 8 mile per hex map — something that at this stage only Thibault had achieved.
Mark’s 24 mile per hex map was a close replica of the Dawn of the Emperors version of the Isle of Dawn, although unlike that map, Mark added in the Known World and Norwold to the west and northwest. Given how close they are, it’s a wonder that they were fully cropped on the original map — although that poster map was pretty tight, so it’s not really a big surprise.
