What would an atlas be without a gazetteer explaining all those place names? This somewhat experimental page reimplements the Geographic Index as an alphabetised gazetteer of the world of Mystara. First appeared in CM1 (1984); first named in X9 (1985). The name was extended to apply to both the strait and the larger bay in Dungeon 6 (1987). The bay became the Yalu Bay in Hollow World (1990). The strait remained the Savage Gulf in Dragon 188 (1992), but became the Strait of Yalu in Dragon 196 (1993). Orc’s Head Peninsula (1996) again referred to the strait as the Savage Gulf.
