LoZompatore’s Mystara Reference Map

In many ways this map was the pinnacle of Michele’s “research maps”. Using his new base map, he added all the labels he could physically fit — and it’s a lot of labels! The only real restriction was the scale of the map, which was equivalent to about 72 miles per hex.

When I say “pinnacle”, I don’t mean that Michele’s maps peaked at this point — far from it, as he has continued to produce more and more impressive maps ever since. Rather, I mean that this is a near-perfect example of this style and form. It’s a masterclass in the format, and remains highly relevant to this day.
