LoZompatore’s Brun and Alphatia
This map, dated September 2009, was the latest revision of Michele’s base map of the central part of Mystara. He labelled it Version 5.0, illustrating that there had been many different updates and changes to the map since he started it some years previously. This is to be expected, because his first map using a version of this base map dates as far back as November 2005.
Nonetheless, this is the earliest dated version of the blank base map remaining to us.
In terms of content, as I have noted in previous posts using parts of this map, it was an adaptation of the Master Set world map, but using the more detailed style of the Companion Set/CM1 continental map. In doing so, Michele added in all sorts of details, including not only rivers and more detailed mountains, but also deserts and other major geographical features.
All in all, it was a major improvement to the continental map, providing a much-needed update that reflects later developments.
