Thibault’s CM1 Norwold, 24 miles per hex
This map is a straight up replica of CM1’s Norwold map. This seems to be the earliest example of a fan creating such a replica; so while I am likely the most prolific creator of this kind of map, I was far from the first to do so. Up until this point, most fan creations focused on additions to the body of existing maps. But Thibault had his sights set on a loftier goal: mapping out the whole world. Which of course necessitated the reproduction of older maps as well as the creation of new ones.
Thibault posted this map to his site and sent a notification to the Mystara Mailing List exactly 22 years before the date of this post.
The very next month, he was already working on an updated version of Norwold. But for whatever reason he seems never to have completed this map. The sticking point was most likely the CM1/X11 conflict (aka the Norwold Conundrum), and indeed the dates of the files show that he moved straight from Norwold to Denagoth, and then back to the Known World. Thus, he incorporated Norwold and Denagoth into his Known World maps; but it would be two more years before he finalised his version of northern Norwold for the Brun continental map, and three until he released a stand-alone updated map of all of Norwold.

Chronological Analysis
This is a fan-made map. It was published in July 1999. The updated Atlas version of this map is not yet available. See also Appendix C for annual chronological snapshots of the area. For the full context of this map in Mystara’s publication history, see the upcoming Let’s Map Mystara 1999. (Please note that it may be some time before the project reaches this point.)
The following lists are from the Let’s Map Mystara project. Additions are new features, introduced in this map; Revisions are changes to previously-introduced features; Hex Art & Fonts track design elements; and finally Textual Additions are potential features found in the related text. In most cases, the Atlas adopts these textual additions into updated and chronological maps.
