Adamantyr’s Eastern Gulf of Hule, 8 miles per hex
This map of the Eastern Gulf of Hule, combining Dragon 171 and 172’s maps from the Voyage of the Princess Ark, was Adamantyr’s first finished map. By February 2000 his style was fully established, and this map kicked off a series of maps covering the whole Savage Coast.
The version with attached legend below was his only map to appear with a legend in the same file; later versions of the map (including the one below) relegated the legend to a separate file. This has since become a common practice among fan cartographers, for reasons of efficiency: instead of every map including a legend, it appears in its own, separate file.
A close comparison of these two maps will also reveal some palette revisions. Adamantyr made relatively few of these, and the maps are mostly the same.
