Agathokles’ Damocles, 144 miles per hex
This amazing map is a view of Damocles, the enigmatic (and doomed) fourth planet in Mystara’s solar system. The planet was referenced in the Immortals Set way back in 1986, but saw no other official references, and little fan development. Indeed, the only writings I have been able to find on Damocles are by Giampaolo, who wrote an article in 2001, with a follow-up Q&A.
But the map didn’t come until 2017, when he revised and expanded that article for Threshold #15, which was themed around Mystaraspace.
He explained in the article that the map is not designed to be exhaustive. The reason for its peculiar shape is simple: Damocles is a flat world.
Did that catch your interest? If so, I highly recommend reading Giampaolo’s article in Threshold #15.
