Alan’s Old Averoigne, 12 miles per hex
With GAZ3’s Glantri content completed, Alan next turned to Glantri-related products, beginning with X2 Castle Amber. For the first time, he used a full set of hex symbols for the terrain. There were only three needed for this map (forests, hills, swamps), but nevertheless this was a first for him, as he had previously used mostly coloured hexes rather than pictorial symbols.
As with all of Alan’s maps, this one is a close replica of the original map. He even used X2’s spellings for Vyones and Faussesflammes, which differ from GAZ3’s (Vyonnes and Fausseflammes).
Below is my CC3+ conversion (with almost no tweaking this time), followed by Alan’s original CC2 export.
