Dragon 156 Cestia and Oceania
The third course map for the Princess Ark was mostly a reprisal of the previous map. Its main addition doesn’t stand out very much on the map, though the text of the episode itself reveals its importance: 13 on the map showed the location of the important Heldannic outpost of Vanya’s Rest — although it was not of course named as such yet.

The following lists are from the Let’s Map Mystara project. In most cases, the Atlas adopts these textual additions into updated and chronological maps.
Additions
- Settlements — Location 13 is the only numbered mark that links to something new in the text. (See Settlements under Textual Additions below.)
Revisions
- None.
Hex Art & Fonts
- Symbols — Clean and simple line art.
- Fonts — Century Schoolbook throughout.
Textual Additions (Dragon 156, 1990)
- Seas — The Gulf of Mar, the northern edge of which appears on the bottom edge of this map, is mentioned in the text (page 97c). It didn’t appear on a map until the next issue, but clearly the name was already in existence at this point.
- Settlements — Location 13 marks the location of a Heldannic outpost, “a large, gloomy castle”, “a mighty fortress” (page 97c). It goes unnamed at this point, but will eventually come to be known as Vanya’s Rest.
