Geoff’s Vertiloch, 24 miles per hex
This simple comparison map shows the effect of Rad’s Doomsday Weapon on the area in and around the Alphatian capital, Sundsvall. Geoff based the effect on the description in Wrath of the Immortals, creating a logical view of the aftermath of the maelstrom.
This kind of before and after map, which first appeared in Wrath of the Immortals itself with the Great Crater, has been slowly gaining popularity in the community over the years. For another great example, see Robin’s examination of the demise of the Canolbarth, featured in Threshold Magazine #10 (2016).

Chronological Analysis
This is a fan-made map. It was published in June 2010. The updated Atlas version of this map is not yet available. See also Appendix C for annual chronological snapshots of the area. For the full context of this map in Mystara’s publication history, see the upcoming Let’s Map Mystara 2010. (Please note that it may be some time before the project reaches this point.)
The following lists are from the Let’s Map Mystara project. Additions are new features, introduced in this map; Revisions are changes to previously-introduced features; Hex Art & Fonts track design elements; and finally Textual Additions are potential features found in the related text. In most cases, the Atlas adopts these textual additions into updated and chronological maps.

Hi Thorf
Great that you refer to my Rise & Fall of the Canolbarth article.
However the Pandius link you gave here does not have the maps belonging to it
So I advise those viewing to click the Threshold 10 link shown there above, and go to pages 65-114 to also see the maps.

Thanks for pointing out my mistake. I linked to the wrong article — it should have been The Demise of the Great Canolbarth Forest. Those two are listed right next to each other at the Vaults of Pandius, and it seems I chose the wrong one.
Sorry about that! The link should now point to the correct article. And of course Threshold #10 has it all, as you say.
