Jacob’s Gotland, 8 miles per hex

Gotland is probably the largest domain in Ostland, and Jacob gave it a second village as well as placing the one named in GAZ7’s text. He also made the extra settlement a clan of adaptors masquerading as Ostlanders. Finally, he added lore related to the Modrigswerg and a fantastic magic item.

Additions

• Settlements — The villages of Bergfors near the coast, and Bakkedyb in the hills. Bergfors previously appeared in the table of Ostland Clans and Dominions (GAZ7 Player’s Book page 13), but never before on a map.

• Hex Art — Highly saturated Campaign Cartographer 2 non-hex art style.
• Font — Arial.

Textual Additions (Complete Domains of Ostland, 2000-2002)

• Races — The village of Bakkedyb is inhabited solely by a community of Adaptors. The population listed below (50) reflects the usual number present; at any one time, another 150 belonging to this community are usually “travelling elsewhere”.
• Rulers — Mord the Greedy is the Jarl, Head of Clan Gotland. Although the name was listed in GAZ7 (Player’s Book page 13), Jacob worked up a full description. Ofeig of Bakkedyb is the leader of that community.
• Settlements — The population of Bergfors is listed as 480, Bakkedyb as 50. Bakkedyb means “Hillsdeep”.
