JTR’s Leehashire, 8 miles per hex
This is JTR’s last map to date. Although the map lists its creation date as 2010, the earliest file I have been able to find comes from March 2011. And in fact he didn’t post the map publicly until his Threshold #6 article, in late 2014.
Leehashire and its associated articles in Threshold Magazine are the swan song to the GazF series, capping off JTR’s amazing work with one last mini-gazetteer. His usual thoroughness and attention to detail is present in full swing here, as evidenced by his extensive source list beneath the map.
For three years, JTR worked to an amazingly tight schedule, producing an entire series of new gazetteers. He worked together with others in the community, building on the creations of others while also adding a whole range of new ideas of his own. And he knitted all of this together into a cohesive whole, with an overarching vision for the region. As with many fan projects, he left us wishing for more entries in the series, and lamenting that it had to come to an end at all.
Thank you, JTR, for all of your hard work!
