LoZompatore’s Southern Seas
After exploring Vulcanian Settlements, Michele next turned his sight to migrations in and around Mystara’s “southern seas”, by which he mostly meant the Sea of Steam and the Far End Ocean. As always for Davania, the amount of official information available was limited, but he brought together all the relevant sources (listed in his MMB post, and of course in Sources below).
It’s worth noting that at this stage, in 2007, the idea of a vast Far End Ocean separating the continents was still at least a year away. Thus, Michele’s map is based on a literal reading of the Master Set map as encompassing the whole world — with, for example, easy travel between Zyxl and the apparently nearby Arm of the Immortals. This was of course how official sources viewed the situation, so Michele’s map is true to those sources.
To adapt this to the more modern take on the world that has emerged since would likely take some work, though most of the map (everything away from the Tangor Strait area) remains perfectly valid even with today’s maps.
