Milenia, 8 miles per hex
For more than one thousand circles, the people of Milenia have labored to build their empire. And it is impressive indeed!
Magnificent civic buildings lined by enormous pillars of intricately carved stone stand majestically in the cities and towns. Towering statues of marble and ivory watch over the shuffling crowds with an impassive eye. Everywhere is art and culture.
Beneath the scrambling feet of the masses is an ancient land, filled with forgotten treasures, and secrets yet hidden. For brave heroes, glory awaits within the Milenian Empire!

Comments
Milenia’s map in HWR3 was one of the last hex maps of this scale published for Mystara — and it shows. Where earlier maps often had an unfortunate gap between the text and the details of the map, or simply left large parts of the map bare and undeveloped, HWR3’s map is a tour de force. It’s brimming with fine detail and promising adventure locations, complete with a whole set of new symbols including the highly useful shrine, temple, and statue icons.
As a result, there is little need for an updated map. Which explains why I published the first version of this updated map in 2021, a full 16 years after I posted my replica of HWR3’s map. There really is very little more to add to this brilliant piece of cartography. The only thing that could possibly improve it is a slight expansion, adding the missing parts of the Island of Amora and the Laroun area.
Notes
- Bahl Massif — the name of this mountain range was not present on HWR3’s map, but appeared as Bahl Masiv on the Hollow World Set’s Southern Iciria map. This was changed to Bahl Massif Mountains in HWR3 (Adventurer’s Guide, page 6).
