Mystaros’ Ancient Nithia, 24 miles per hex
James Mishler’s first posted map was a historical depiction of the Nithian Empire at its peak, using Andrew Theisen’s hex mapping system. He took the design of Ylaruam from the original X1 map, adjusted it to more closely match GAZ2’s map (primarily the hills), and then changed all the terrain to match his conception of ancient Nithia.
It’s a wonderful peek into the past of one of Mystara’s most iconic historical cultures. Since then, this kind of historical map has become quite popular, and Robin remade James’s map at 8 miles per hex in 2007.
