PC4 Legend
The last of the Creature Crucible series revived the concept of a dominion map, which had been popular in early Mystara products before giving way to the smaller scale maps of the Gazetteer series. It took things a step further, providing a whole poster map of not just one but several dominions. And of course the area featured was an existing part of Glantri.
Three new symbols were featured on this map: the entirely new Volcanic Formation (a recoloured Broken Lands hex), a modern version of the Caves symbol (showing a single small hill with a cave in it — presumably for emphasis, allowing the hex to stand out from other hills hexes), and a Principality Border (a variation of the Dominion Border in a shade of pink). Of these, the last was very specific to PC4’s map, but the other two were adopted by fans and used again in later maps.
These changes are typical of other late-stage revisions to Mystara’s hex system, as they are mostly tweaks or slight redesigns of existing symbols rather than entirely new art.

Chronological Analysis
This was the legend for Map 211. It was published in October 1992. See also Appendix C for more information on the hex art in circulation at that time. For the full context of this legend in Mystara’s publication history, see Let’s Map Mystara 1992.
The following lists are from the Let’s Map Mystara project. Additions are new features, introduced in this map; Revisions are changes to previously-introduced features; Hex Art & Fonts track design elements; and finally Textual Additions are potential features found in the related text. In most cases, the Atlas adopts these textual additions into updated and chronological maps.
