Poor Wizard’s Almanac Traldar Kingdoms
The Traldar Kingdoms are located at the join between Northern and Southern Iciria, as depicted on the two Hollow World Set poster maps. Although the Hollow World’s maps were in general far more consistent than the Outer World’s — doubtless due to their much more concentrated and ordered development — a few errors did creep in. One of these was the depiction of the Traldar Kingdoms area, which had two different versions on the two Iciria maps.
The world map went some way towards smoothing over this error, but its fit with the hex map version of Iciria was at best rather loose. Two years later, in 1992, this map appeared in the first Poor Wizard’s Almanac, presenting a more close-up solution for the discrepancy.
The content of the map is otherwise quite strongly based on the hex maps — as can be seen from the 40 mile per square scale, mimicking the 40 mile per hex scale upon which it was surely based. Perhaps for that reason, and unlike some of the other Almanac maps, this map’s scale was also spot on.
