Ramelin’s Hule, 8 miles per hex v1
Although he completed this map at the same time as his Kavkaz map in January 2016, I can’t find any evidence that Jose shared it online. This file is from Jose’s personal archives. The whole file had already been included in his Southold map the previous month, but that map also seems to have gone unshared at the time. It looks like it wasn’t until 2017 that he shared his map of Hule with the community as a whole.
Content-wise, while most of Jose’s maps include additions and embellishments of his own creation, this one seems like an extremely close recreation of Christian’s original Hule, 8 mile per hex map. It’s a beautiful rendition, of course, bringing Christian’s Hule to life in Ramelin style. The lack of new details here speaks to the elegance and completeness of Christian’s map way back in 1999.
Jose would revisit this map for an update in 2017, but only to bring it up to date with slight changes in his mapping style and add some minor developments outside of Hule’s borders to the west.
