Solar System (1986)
This diagram is a visualisation of information presented in the Immortals Set. It uses two independent scales: the sun and planets are accurate in size relative to each other; and the gaps between the planets are accurate relative to other gaps. Without these disparate scales, the planets would appear as mere specks — if even that — as the distances between planets is so vast as to render the size of objects completely irrelevant. Except for the sun, which is truly massive.
The Immortals Set presented a system based mostly on the real world’s solar system, but with a few key changes. It’s a fun little diagram, showing how Mystara’s solar system was thought to be in 1986.
Chronological Map (February 2022)
This map is part of the Mystara 1986 series of chronological maps. It is an updated map, incorporating all available sources and made internally consistent with other maps in its series. But it only uses sources published in or before 1986.
For more information, see Appendix C: Cartographic Chronology.
