Sturm’s Erineos, 8 miles per hex
Francesco’s third and final close-up map of Minaea expanded northward from the first map, Nemosar, following the action of his story, The Search. Unfortunately, the series ended here. But considering what he moved on to over the next few years, I don’t think we have any complaints.
This sequence of maps is significant in that it was Francesco’s second time tackling the 8 mile per hex scale outside of Brun. He started with Davania, then moved here to Skothar. Only a handful of fan cartographers have attempted this before or since, as we have mostly dwelled on the bigger picture rather than delving in to develop small details. This is a shame, as in many ways the larger scale maps, with their greater detail, are more useful and interesting.
