Sturm’s Minaea, 24 miles per hex
With Francesco’s return to the community in 2011, he began a period of prolific mapmaking. His treatment of Minaea was the first map he posted. It is characteristic of much of his work in this period: he took a base map created by another cartographer (in this case Andrea Francolini), cropped it to his desired subject area, and then developed it extensively. With this template, Francesco would go on to map out large swathes of the world over the next few years.
He was also to reprise his previous template from his Davania work, as there would be three close-up maps of areas of interest to follow this map.
The map itself, as Francesco explained in his comments when posting it, is based on previous writings on Minaea, such as those by Giulio Caroletti, as well as many locations and names of his own invention. He posted a first version in February 2011, before updating it with more details the next month. (For what it’s worth, the earlier version is lost to us.)

Chronological Analysis
This is a fan-made map. It was first published in February 2011, then updated in March 2011. The updated Atlas version of this map is not yet available. See also Appendix C for annual chronological snapshots of the area. For the full context of this map in Mystara’s publication history, see the upcoming Let’s Map Mystara 2011. (Please note that it may be some time before the project reaches this point.)
The following lists are from the Let’s Map Mystara project. Additions are new features, introduced in this map; Revisions are changes to previously-introduced features; Hex Art & Fonts track design elements; and finally Textual Additions are potential features found in the related text. In most cases, the Atlas adopts these textual additions into updated and chronological maps.
