Thibault’s Borea, 24 miles per hex v1
In November 1999, volume 2 of the Tome of Mystara was posted to the Internet. Thibault drew up seven new maps for it — his first contribution to the Tome, which can still be seen at the Vaults of Pandius. Three of these were panels which together reproduced Christian Constantin’s Borea map. These are reproduced below.
Later, in April 2001, he released a combined version of these maps, incorporating the black hex grid he used from mid 2000 on, but with the same art. I have also assembled a matching combined version of the earlier maps, also presented below (with the grey hex grid).
In fact, before this he had also produced a new version with upright hex art, as early as May 2000 — right at the beginning of his switch to the new art style — which will be posted in its own thread here at the Atlas. But as with many of Thibault’s maps, there is no definitive version, as the labels only appear in their full form in the older versions of the map. Thus, these versions remain the most useful, despite their rotated hex art.

Chronological Analysis
These are fan-made maps. They were published in 1999, 2001, and 2021. The updated Atlas version of this map is not yet available. See also Appendix C for annual chronological snapshots of the area. For the full context of this map in Mystara’s publication history, see the upcoming Let’s Map Mystara 1999, 2001, and 2021 articles. (Please note that it may be some time before the project reaches this point.)
The following lists are from the Let’s Map Mystara project. Additions are new features, introduced in this map; Revisions are changes to previously-introduced features; Hex Art & Fonts track design elements; and finally Textual Additions are potential features found in the related text. In most cases, the Atlas adopts these textual additions into updated and chronological maps.
