Thibault’s Calengaer, 24 miles per hex
Thibault developed this area of Skothar together with Frédéric Peronnet, for Frédéric’s Calengaer elven nation. The map centres on the long valley sandwiched between the Thorin Mountains in the north and the Jennite Mountains in the south. Thonia is to the northwest, Esterhold to the southwest, and the vast Jennite Plains over the mountains to the southeast. Calengaer is located at the very end of the valley, in the top right corner of the map, though it’s not actually marked.
This map was concurrent with Thibault’s Mystara, 24 miles per hex, and it may well in fact be a crop of that map. Although the finished version dates to April 2002, in fact Thibault had already begun drafting the right hand side of the map more than two years previously, in February 2000.
