Thibault’s Eastern Davania, 8 miles per hex
This has to be Thibault’s most ambitious project of all: Davania at 8 miles per hex. It’s a massive undertaking, especially for a continent with few existing maps at that scale. Nevertheless, he was able to complete the first draft of both halves of the map.
This is the first section, completed in just over a month, from February to March 2003. It covers the eastern three fifths of the continent, minus the Vulcanian Peninsula, converting Thibault’s Davania, 24 miles per hex map to the new larger scale. Like the second section, this one was largely just a first draft. However, unlike the western section, Thibault continued to add to it as he developed the areas of Vanya’s Rest and Mivosia/Polakatsikes. The map below is from May 2004, and it includes these areas at a more advanced stage of development.
