Thibault’s Hyborea, 24 miles per hex
Towards the end of 2001, Thibault was approaching full coverage of the continent of Brun at 24 miles per hex. Consequently, he began work on the missing sections of map he needed to complete the project. One of these was Brun’s northernmost tip: Hyborea.
He had already worked up small parts of this area back in June and then November 2000, at which time he had also just been working on the neighbouring region of Borea.
Since Hyborea didn’t appear in full on the Hollow World Set world map, I can only assume that he based his work on the Master Set world map. The terrain, of course, is based on his own previous map, Mystara, 72 miles per hex 2000, but converted to 24 miles per hex in Thibault’s usual fashion.
Not many maps of Hyborea have been made before or since, making this an invaluable source for developing the frigid northern region.

Chronological Analysis
This is a fan-made map. It was published in 2001. The updated Atlas version of this map is not yet available. See also Appendix C for annual chronological snapshots of the area. For the full context of this map in Mystara’s publication history, see the upcoming Let’s Map Mystara 2001. (Please note that it may be some time before the project reaches this point.)
The following lists are from the Let’s Map Mystara project. Additions are new features, introduced in this map; Revisions are changes to previously-introduced features; Hex Art & Fonts track design elements; and finally Textual Additions are potential features found in the related text. In most cases, the Atlas adopts these textual additions into updated and chronological maps.
