Thibault’s La Vallée des Loups, 1 mile per hex
Thibault worked up this replica of PC4’s Morlay-Malinbois map in early 2000, just after working on GAZ13’s underground maps. As far as I can tell, this is the furthest he ever took it — I can’t find either a version with rivers, roads, borders and labels, or an updated version with upright hex art.
It’s interesting because of the scale: at 1 mile per hex, it’s a rather different beast from most of Mystara’s other maps. I can’t help but wonder how Thibault felt while tracing it — by this time, he was a master at adding details to hide the transfer from a different hex scale, and I’m sure he must have been tempted to smooth out some of the more obvious patterns here.
