Thibault’s Ochalea, 8 miles per hex v1
Thibault created three maps for Tome of Mystara Volume 3 in March 2000. Two of these were the eastern and western halves of Ochalea at 8 miles per hex.
These were the first hex maps of Ochalea produced at this scale. Thibault based his maps closely on Mystaros’ Isle of Ochalea maps, as well as Dawn of the Emperors.
As with most of his early maps, he later went back and changed the hex grid from grey to black. Aside from this art upgrade, he also produced a second version using his upright hex art, which is presented in its own post.
