Thibault’s Vulcania, 24 miles per hex
January 2002 saw Thibault working on Vulcania, and by the end of the month he had completed three panels — all but the tip of the peninsula in the far east.
The first section, completed on New Year’s Day, was the eastern part. The west and central parts followed a few weeks later. All three include Thibault’s extra details in the conversion from Geoff Gander’s Davania that have become so familiar, although it’s worth noting that the large swathes of blank terrain here clearly posed some problems.
Correction: Since this article was published, a new file has come to light that depicts the whole of Vulcania in one single image. It now appears directly below, with the individual panels underneath. Additionally, this means that the fourth panel — the tip of the peninsula — was also completed by the end of January. Thus, I have added it in below along with the others.

Chronological Analysis
These are fan-made maps. They were published in 2002. The updated Atlas version of this area is not yet available. See also Appendix C for annual chronological snapshots of the area. For the full context of this map in Mystara’s publication history, see the upcoming Let’s Map Mystara 2002. (Please note that it may be some time before the project reaches this point.)
The following lists are from the Let’s Map Mystara project. Additions are new features, introduced in this map; Revisions are changes to previously-introduced features; Hex Art & Fonts track design elements; and finally Textual Additions are potential features found in the related text. In most cases, the Atlas adopts these textual additions into updated and chronological maps.

Strange that Black beam in the 2nd map
The right of it resembles the 3rd map left, yet the left of the black beam does not resemble anything on either map
It makes it impossible the fit these together. pity. great maps otherwise

I think that section is supposed to go between the first two parts, though I’m not sure. I did consider joining them up for this post, but since Thibault already did that for his final Davania, 24 miles per hex map — which he finished just two months after these pieces — there didn’t seem a great deal of point. That one is coming up very soon now!
