Thibault’s Western Brun, 24 miles per hex
As noted in the title plate, Thibault based his map of Western Brun on Christian Constantin’s map from September 1999. He first published it in two parts, likely in October. These versions are provided beneath the combined map, which dates from a year later, as evidenced by the black hex grid. It’s unclear if he posted a combined version sooner, or if the black hex grid version is the first such map he made; in any case, I could find no older version of the combined map.
Content-wise, it’s a faithful rendition of Christian’s map. One of Thibault’s innovations was the marking of shallow coastal waters.
