Kal’s Brun, 24 miles per hex v1
Andrea himself didn’t create a composite of his early maps until a little later. By that time, he had made a large number of revisions to these maps. I have therefore put together a composite of the earliest remaining versions, all from 2005: Brun North, Brun South, and Bellissaria and Esterhold. There are no changes to the original maps, aside from the removal of the grey border hexes at the points where the maps combine, and a choice between conflicting terrain in a few minor places.
For more details on the contents of each map, see the posts for the individual pieces.

Chronological Analysis
This is a fan-made map. The component maps were published in January 2005; the combined map was completed in March 2025. The updated Atlas version of this map is not yet available. See also Appendix C for annual chronological snapshots of the area. For the full context of this map in Mystara’s publication history, see the upcoming Let’s Map Mystara 2005. (Please note that it may be some time before the project reaches this point.)
The following lists are from the Let’s Map Mystara project. Additions are new features, introduced in this map. Revisions are changes to previously-introduced features. Hex Art & Fonts track design elements. Finally, Textual Additions are potential features found in the related text. In most cases, the Atlas adopts these textual additions into updated and chronological maps.
Additions
- None.
Revisions
- Terrain — Where the original maps overlap, there were a few spots with slightly different terrain. In these instances, one of the maps has been chosen to override the other. The only area with significant differences is the border between the Brun North and Brun South maps.
Hex Art & Fonts
- Hex Art — Hexmapper standard hexes.
- Font — Times New Roman.
