Known World, 24 miles per hex (1983)
While 1983’s X1 map saw few revisions, the revised Expert Rulebook included a new half-page map with the northern part of the Known World. This map added an extensive trail network throughout, along with module locations, three new villages, as well as other additions from the Karameikos, 6 mile per hex map, such as Threshold and Kelvin. The lower reaches of Ierendi and Minrothad didn’t appear on the map, which is why the shipping lanes cut out before they reach those nations’ capital cities.
As noted in Gulluvia 1983’s post, the two trails leading up onto the plateau in the northwestern corner of the map conflict with B3’s Gulluvia, most likely because the Expert Rulebook’s cartographers had no access to B3. For now, I have cut the trails before they reach the plateau. Both continue in a straight line from where they stop, cutting through Gulluvia in pretty strange ways. The most logical route up onto the plateau, however, would be through Velders.
Chronological Map (September 2021)
This map is part of the Mystara 1983 series of chronological maps. It is an updated map, incorporating all available sources and made internally consistent with other maps in its series. But it only uses sources published in or before 1983.
For more information, see Appendix C: Cartographic Chronology.

- Cynidicea — B4’s location was marked on the 1983 Expert Rulebook’s Known World map. I have changed this from the module location symbol to ruins, and labelled it Cynidicea in accordance with B4.
- Font — Changed to Baskerville throughout to match the BECMI series.

Why isn’t “B1” updated as “Caverns of Quasqueton”?

Because caves are not significant enough to be included at this scale. Note that I have not included the Caves of Chaos, either.
I posted about this very topic earlier in the week at The Piazza:
