Thibault’s Alphatian Sea, 72 miles per hex
Thibault returned to the 72 mile per hex scale in early 2000 to present his first view of Alphatia at this scale. It was one of the only remaining regions that he hadn’t yet covered, the rest being western Brun, far northern Brun and Skothar, and far southern Davania.
Although he likely based it on the existing body of 72 mile per hex maps (which are actually rather few), he also added his own innovation in the form of tundra and tundra hills hexes for the islands north of sunken Alphatia.
The map below is likely a later revised version, as it includes a black hex grid. The original surely had a grey hex grid, but it has been lost.
