Thibault’s Heldann, 8 miles per hex v3
The third version of Thibault’s Heldann came late on, and I have been unable to date it conclusively. The existing file has the same date as the fourth and final version. It may be that it dates to slightly earlier than the listed August 2004 — possibly from November 2003, which is the date on the fourth version’s earliest work-in-progress files. On the other hand, the labels for that map seem to have come last, in August 2004, so perhaps the file’s date stamp is indeed accurate.
All that aside, it’s a nice update, adding numerous small river systems to the areas around the Kamminer Bay and to its immediate northeast. It’s also clear that Thibault was in the midst of experimenting with new labelling, as we see here a unique blend of his old labels with his new haloes to enhance readability.
All in all, it’s a wonderful update to what was already a great map. If it weren’t for the existence of one more version, this would have been Thibault’s definitive map of Heldann.

Chronological Analysis
This is a fan-made map. It was likely published in August 2004. The updated Atlas version of this map is Heldann, 8 miles per hex. See also Appendix C for annual chronological snapshots of the area. For the full context of this map in Mystara’s publication history, see the upcoming Let’s Map Mystara 2004. (Please note that it may be some time before the project reaches this point.)
The following lists are from the Let’s Map Mystara project. Additions are new features, introduced in this map; Revisions are changes to previously-introduced features; Hex Art & Fonts track design elements; and finally Textual Additions are potential features found in the related text. In most cases, the Atlas adopts these textual additions into updated and chronological maps.

Revisions
- Spellings — Barony of Two Lakes Vale is a slightly different interpretation of CM2’s Barony of Twolakes Vale. The Atlas considers the latter to be the proper form.
