Wrath of the Immortals Known World, 48 miles per hex
Wrath of the Immortals provided two poster maps showing the regions covered in the Immortals’ Fury adventure. The first covered the Known World in the standard 24 miles per hex, along with Alphatia in 72 miles per hex — all in both 1004 and 1010 AC. The second map sheet presented the entire area of the adventure in one, single map.
However, instead of reprising Dawn of the Emperors’ 72 mile per hex map, the cartographers went with a brand new scale unique to this map: 48 miles per hex. The resulting map shows the whole Known World together with Aegos and most of Alphatia as large as possible on one sheet.
The anomaly of this scale has intrigued fans ever since. It’s clear why it was chosen, but that doesn’t stop it from feeling really peculiar. It’s great.
